Red Hat是企业级Linux最主要的开发公司，提供了全面的软件和服务，也是少有的依靠开源获得商业成功的独立公司。

Red Hat Enterpris Linux几乎就是企业级Linux版本的代言，严谨的软件版本测试、系统化的平台软件，成为最主流的服务器Linux版本。同时，在RHEL基础上再发布的社区版本CentOS，也成为开源爱好者的首选。

> CentOS和RHEL基本相同，只是缺少Red Hat支持，并且发布更新可能略微落后一些时间，但对于有良好技术基础的Linux技术者，CentOS已经可以满足大多数要求。
